As the Head of Plant, you’ll be leading the plant’s day-to-day operations. You’ll be leading your teams to drive the success of our fragrance manufacturing site, which will directly impact the quality of our products – helping to improve real lives.

Your key responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the safety and environmental performance of the facility, including employee OSHA training, environmental reporting and permitting, and ensuring that safety procedures (PPE, etc.) are followed by employees and contractors.
- Ensures the quality of production output and continuously looks for means to improve quality performance and manufacturing procedures.
- Assures that all facilities and equipment are safe, well-maintained and operable for all employees. Reviews performance of vendors and contractors with Director of Purchasing and Quality leadership.
- Motivates, coaches, and mentors employees to achieve desired performance. Ensures that all personnel have received sufficient and proper training to perform their job function. Fosters a positive work environment. Prepares performance reviews for all direct reports and submits them in a timely manner.
- Ensures adequate raw material, finished goods, and packaging inventory are on hand to meet customer ship dates and working capital targets. Monitors minimum stock and re-order quantities in Make Scents.
- Control of direct labor and operating expenses in line with budget, including monitoring of overtime.

You bring:
- Minimum 10 years experience in a batch chemical production facility; Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a plant environment.
- Knowledge of compounding and an understanding of special formula instructions.
- Knowledge of G.M.P’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Knowledge of H.A.C.C.P (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
