Work Itself
- The VP Sales is responsible for relationship management of credit unions and CUSO’s and sales of the corporate’s services. This person leads the Area Sales Managers (ASM), sales support, training and technical writing professionals on the sales team.
- Driving sales success to meet annual sales goals and generate new fee income is the major focus of the VP Sales.
- The VP Sales is accountable for ensuring the sales staff is trained sufficiently on all services they are representing in the sales process.
- The VP Sales guides the Sales Support team to manage the fulfillment of requests coming from the ASM’s in the field, plus the VP, for proposals, collateral material, contracts and implementation forms, customized price sheets within established service levels for services, all recorded in the CRM database.
- The VP Sales provides regular reports reflecting sales by ASM, service and credit union for the sales team’s use and SMT’s review. Pipeline reporting on the key services and reporting on opportunities lost is required on an ongoing basis.
- Contract and pricing negotiation is a responsibility of the VP Sales. This person manages the explanations of our contract language and terms, responding to language change requests, contract term change requests, and price break requests.
- Responses to RFPs submitted by credit unions to the corporate is the responsibility of the VP Sales.
- The VP Sales manages the training of member credit unions on products and services conducted by training professionals via web conference.
- The VP Sales manages the vendor partner relationships from a sales perspective.
The Talent You Bring
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Sales team management experience with a wholesale financial institution for a diverse team of outside sales, inside sales, sales support, and training – minimum 5 years
- Proven sales success with at least 10 years’ experience representing multiple services to financial institutions from a wholesale financial institution (financial services, payments, technology, correspondent banking solutions)
- Ability to create and execute strategy and tactics
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and listening skills
- Results-oriented leader with advanced internal and external rapport building skills
- Professional demeanor
- Adaptable
- Well-developed PC skills in WORD, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience utilizing a CRM system, preferably Salesforce, to manage client relationships, sales opportunities, and reporting
