Title: Immunology Area Sales Director
Location: Western US
The Area Sales Director is a key member of the US Rx Business Unit Sales Leadership team and will be responsible for leading the sales team to execute sales strategies that meet or exceed Rx and Net sales goals for the Immunology product. This position will lead Frontline Managers and their Immunology Account Managers in the assigned Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop immediate managers and assist in their development of their sales professionals with an emphasis on developing talent for sustainable growth and retention.
- Responsible for adherence and pull-through of all sales compliance policies.
- Lead a portfolio selling model and execute sales strategy that contributes to Immunology prescription growth and delivers net sales performance goals.
- Identify, develop and build upon relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) within Area to help support the Biologic product.
- Work with peers across Commercial, Access and Key Accounts to strengthen understanding of Rx prescription pull-through and channel strategy to improve Rx fulfillment and profitability.
- Partner with compliance to efficiently manage sample program.
- Engage with key internal partners across HQ to advance field sales needs and identify opportunities that result in timely solutions.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other functions (marketing, compliance, sales analytics, medical affairs, sales training, and human resources) to maximize Rx prescription and net sales growth.
- Support and lead Galderma Sales Meetings & Conferences to pull-through national business priorities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in Business required.
- Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in Pharmaceutical/Biologic sales.
- Three (3) or more years of experience managing a team of sales professionals is required.
- Ability to lead and manage direct reports, establishing clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback through assessing and evaluating sales performance.
- Launch Experience and dermatology experience preferred.
- Ability to contribute to a purposeful, accountable culture, which attracts, develops and retains high caliber candidates, helping to build and shape a sales organization that drives success.
- Strong knowledge of the US pharmaceutical market, including Rx utilization, analytics, reimbursement policies, relationship management with key organizations and authorities.
- Ability to be analytical, think strategically and understand data that translates to measurable sales planning and execution to grow Rx prescriptions and drive net sales performance.
- Ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, and influence positive change as needed.
- Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
