What will I do as an employee with Redstone?
As a Care Partner, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:
- Checks email and other appropriate resources daily for updated activity schedule/resident information and designs special events signs, announcements, and weekly schedule of lifestyle activities and posts them on bulletin boards.
- Plans and prepares for activities of the day, holidays and special events, purchases/orders necessary supplies, sets up activity areas, and cleans up area following activity.
- Invites residents to scheduled activities, including bus trips out of the facility, and escorts interested residents, if necessary.
- Conducts the activities scheduled each day for resident groups, one to one activities for individual residents and spontaneous events in a manner that promotes culture change and a home-like atmosphere.
- Charts resident information as it pertains to activities using the approved documentation method.
- Communicates, as needed, with staff in other departments to coordinate their involvement in activities and trips.
- Arranges with outside vendors to entertain or conduct programs with residents.
- Provides ADL assistance to residents during activities and outings, including but not limited to toileting assistance, dining assistance and mobility/transfer assistance.
- Respond to call bells as needed while on the nursing units.
- Reports any changes in Residents condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.
What do I need for this role with Redstone?
- High School Diploma/GED.
- A Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification (or obtained within 1st year).
