The Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of REALTORS (OKCMAR) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead both OKCMAR and its wholly owned Multiple Listing Service (MLSOK). This role requires a collaborative and adaptable leader who can execute a strategic vision, represent both organizations with professionalism, and foster an inclusive environment. As CEO, you will be accountable to two separate Boards of Directors, aligning goals, driving strategic initiatives, and managing the complexities of two interrelated organizations while building meaningful relationships and ensuring all voices are heard.

Responsibilities include:
- Creating and overseeing the association’s budget in collaboration with accounting consultants and staff.
- Ensuring clear direction, alignment, and satisfaction among staff; working with HR consultants to hire, fire, evaluate, and manage staff effectively.
- Overseeing technology operations to ensure all tech staff and systems are functioning properly.
- Providing strategic recommendations and suggestions to leadership on organizational matters.
- Negotiating, managing, and overseeing vendor contracts with the support of outside legal counsel.
- Understanding the membership organization model and executing strategies to demonstrate and deliver member value.
- Working with, empowering, and guiding department heads and managers, and encouraging ongoing training and professional development.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including local associations and MLSs.
- Staying informed about industry disruptors and trends to maintain the organization’s competitiveness.
- Representing OKCMAR by attending events and conferences.
- Attending local government affairs events to support private property rights and represent OKCMAR's interests.
- Participating in finance, executive, and strategic planning committee meetings.
- Identifying and pursuing new revenue opportunities beyond member dues.
- Meeting annually to review the MLSOK and OKCMAR strategic plans.
- Executing the strategic plan and keeping leadership informed of progress.
Knowledge and skills:
- Public speaking and presentation skills
- Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Servant leadership approach, fostering collaboration and team growth
- Ability to maintain a non-partisan stance in decision-making and communication
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
Experience:
We are seeking an individual with at least 5+ years of experience working in a Realtor Association, with a preference for those who have served as a CEO or in a C-suite or Director-level role. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading and managing staff, providing effective leadership in dynamic environments while overcoming challenges. A strong background and proven ability to effectively manage large boards, both for-profit and not-for-profit, are crucial for success in this role!
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree- preferred
- Master’s Degree- preferred
- Understanding of Realtor Associations that have a wholly owned MLS- preferred
- RCE/CAE- a plus!
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range is $175,000-$210,000 yearly depending on experience. The compensation package includes a 401(k) with match and Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
