PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior Director of Global CIDP Marketing will be an integral member of the Global Marketing and Commercial New Product Planning Department, specifically being responsible for leading and ensuring appropriate alignment of the company’s global marketing and promotional strategies across key markets. You will find yourself in regular instances providing leadership and/or counsel to a cross-functional team of global colleagues—where this team will co-collaborate to define and implement a marketing strategy to ensure commercial success across all global markets. Your ability to identify commercial challenges and emerging issues faced by the global organization will be indispensable, and you will partner with colleagues to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them. Furthermore, in this role, you will collaborate with both the Vice President, Global Marketing and Commercial New Product Planning and the Chief Operating Officer as it relates to corporate expansion activities, as appropriate [e.g. new geographies].
REPORTING LINE
This role will be remote-based and will report to the Vice President, Global Marketing and Commercial New Product Planning.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with all regional marketing teams and appropriate knowledge with these customer markets.
- As required, collaborate with argenx regional markets to develop effective communication plans, refine customer segmentation and targeting, and create materials to support the positioning of a Brand.
- Initiate and implement commercial strategies and objectives, upon collaboration with global cross-functional teams—coordinating with global marketing managers to best achieve growth in various geographical markets and ensure best practices.
- Lead the development of a global commercial strategic hub—allowing for a central resource for the support/expertise to address a commercial challenge or opportunity [e.g. differentiating launch strategy for a particular region].
- Identify commercial business risks or critical issues and recommend customized strategies to mitigate, in partnership with regional leadership.
- Collaborate with the development and implementation of an analytics processes to ensure the effectiveness of implemented programs in the various argenx regions.
- Collectively manage with argenx colleagues the industry/external relationships and identify areas of opportunity to maximize organization investments in all communications and marketing activities—differentiating the business of argenx outside of immunology innovation.
- Partner with Commercial and Corporate Strategy leadership to conduct necessary due diligence and initial plans for proposed growth opportunities for the organization. This includes supporting the overall assessment process, including evaluation of the commercial opportunity and analysis of the competitive landscape.
- Foster a team culture of ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement throughout all levels of the argenx commercial organization by regularly communicating the argenx vision, business objectives, desired performance outcomes and future actions to realize those outcomes.

Education, Experience And Qualifications
- You must have held a previous role which was Global Marketing in biotech, pharmaceutical or other areas of life science.
- 12+ years marketing experience [global or regional] in biotech, pharmaceutical or other areas of life sciences, with a proven record of high performance and consistent results.
- Life sciences’ product in-line marketing and global launch/product commercialization experience are required.
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA or additional education in life sciences discipline preferred.
- Living and working outside of the US for a biotech and/or life sciences organization [for example, a global or regional marketing role] is highly desirable.
- Must have strong social skills, maturity, and be capable of presenting ideas and concepts to a diverse range of individuals.
- Previous experience working in a biotech start-up is preferred.
- Excellence in additional professional competencies including collaborative and cross functional problem solving and communications, innovative thinking, sense of urgency, and a passion for helping patients and their communities.
