Overview:
This is not one project. Looking for a Data Architect who can work with our tech product teams organized around a data domain. Example: all within customer but we have 4 different teams with different sets of customer data (these customers are those who are consuming energy and gas). They identify how that data will be made available for any sort of project or effort. Our customer data services team makes customer contact data and relationship to billing data and products. This team architects and builds not only ingestion of that data but quality and identifying the sources where this is made available. They would help architect data APIs, providing CRUD functionality against customer contact data. The team's job is to implement and ensure alignment with the standards. Then the data can be used by web applications or notification frameworks that need to publish notifications to the contacts.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data and integration architecture, with a drive to understand the technology of data and integration as well as the business processes that utilize the data.
When given a problem, they can lay out the architectural solution and hand it down to a development engineer for implementation.
Team: The candidate will sit on the Payment and Product Data Services Team (still under Customer). They will collaborate with other data architects and solution architects on different teams, working with a scrum team of 9 people, including a PO, SM, another solution architect, and data and integration engineers. It is an agile team, running 2-week sprints, where they will lead the architecture solutions.
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years in data and integration domain
- Experience with a variety of platforms, with some AWS experience a must.
Tech Stack:
- AWS data services, Aurora, Postgres, AWS document databases
- Familiarity with Databricks and data lakehouse concepts is ideal
- Integration perspective includes AWS capabilities, Informatica CAI, Lambda, JavaScript, API Gateway, Apigee, IBM middleware.
Soft Skills:
- Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams
- Strong written and oral communication
- Self-motivated
- Willing to check in with others
Ramp Up Time: If they have Utilities or customer domain experience, probably a month.
Industry: Utilities experience is a strong nice to have; experience in customer domains can be considered.
Certifications: Not required
Interview:
Will most likely start October 4. Video via Teams, 2-3 people.
