School Age Site Director

Under the direction of the Director of School Age Programming, the Site Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations running a School Out Program, Before/After School program at one of our elementary school sites while supporting our other childcare programs in the morning at the main Y branch, in addition to curriculum planning. The Site Director is responsible for the supervision of staff and children, planning, and implementation of their program while acting as a role model for other staff and youth in the program. This is the ideal job to put supervisory, management, and program planning skills into action while using your creativity and passions to do so. Position Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and implement the daily program and curriculum at the branch for your site (during school hours)
- Adhere school site program to NH Child Care Licensing regulations and maintain appropriate files
- Implement our Character Development curriculum components and role model Y core values
- Attend weekly site director meetings, workshops, Y trainings, etc.
- Supervise, train and mentor site staff and assigned volunteers
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with school/administrative staff and parents
- Work on no school days, vacation week programs, and during summer camp
Position Specifics:
- Full Time employment
- Monday – Friday 7:00a-6:00p
- Merrimack /Concord Programs
- $18+
Qualifications:
Must be at least 20 years of age, have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, and have at least one of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in elementary education or recreation, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university;
- An associate’s degree in early childhood education, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university;
- Certification of successful completion of training as a recreation director plus 1000 hours experience working with children in a licensed child care program, recreation program or elementary school;
- A total of 12 credits in early childhood education, human growth and development, education or recreation, from a regionally accredited college plus 1000 hours of experience working with children
