Position Description: The Lead Engineer, under the direction of the Chief Engineer, is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems for a luxury high-rise community in Century City.
Position Duties:
- The Lead Engineer is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems within a property.
- Duties include but are not limited to the maintenance, repair, and operations of lighting, plumbing & HVACR equipment.
- Other systems include chilled water systems, boilers, fire life safety devices, and all MEP systems.
- The Engineer must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
- Responsible for completion of preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Responds immediately to tenant requests, leak detections, and work orders.
- Assists with the implementation and adherence to work and safety procedures.
- Performs equipment inspections, repairs, and conducts preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assists in the implementation of quality assurance, PM & emergency response programs.
- Obtains quotes for approvals, orders, and manages parts, inventory, and equipment.
- Ensures that all shop equipment, tools, and inventory are properly maintained and conform to safety standards.
- Promotes good housekeeping principles and supervises cleanup and organization efforts.
- Conducts routine generator, fire pump, and other systems weekly tests, checks, logs, and PM tasks.
- Coordinates work with team, other departments, and Chief Engineer to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- HVAC & Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing experience.
- Ability to work overnight assigned shift (Tues - Saturday 10pm - 6am).
- Flexibility for on-call, weekend, or overnight work as necessary.
- Strong computer skills, email, and work order systems experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High-rise building maintenance experience.
- Strong resident relations and excellent customer service skills.

Pay: $39.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
