Your opportunity

Fleet management of instrumentation at scale is becoming a central component to making observability ubiquitous for our customers. As the Senior Product Manager for Fleet Management, you'll join a growing team who is passionate about delighting customers and engaging the open source community. You will drive the vision, product strategy, and execution for our instrumentation management business, making it the most flexible, simple to use, and cost-effective platform in the industry.
What you'll do
- Own the vision and product strategy for our scalable instrumentation and fleet management platform
- Demonstrate thought leadership on open source community engagement strategies for SaaS-based technology
- Drive execution by collaborating closely with engineering, product design, and other cross-functional partners
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, prioritize investment areas, and continuously improve the product
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align with the overall business strategy, incorporating input from customers and community partners
- Collaborate with partners and leadership to evaluate market needs and incorporate insights into product planning
- Drive customer adoption by developing compelling value propositions, conducting market research, and closing the customer feedback loop
- Define success metrics and monitor key performance indicators to measure product performance, customer delight, and community engagement
- Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, partners, and community contributors, to drive alignment and foster collaboration
- Design and implement go-to-market plans in collaboration with marketing, sales, and finance partners
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to observability to maintain the company's position as a market leader
This role requires
- 5+ years of product management experience in the Developer / DevOps / Software industry
- Strong technical background and understanding of software development methodologies and tools
- Strong leadership and management skills including leading and inspiring impactful teams
- Proven track record of successfully articulating product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for modern software products
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and marketing
- Experience engaging with customers and collecting feedback to inform product decisions
- Analytical approach with a focus on incorporating data and metrics to drive decision-making
- Highly effective written and verbal communication with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
- Ability to excel in a lean, agile, and fast-paced organization
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or equivalent field
Bonus points if you have
- Background in observability, monitoring, devops, site reliability engineering, SaaS products, and related technologies
- Experience building relationships with open source communities
- Experience leading teams through impact rather than authority

Compensation and Benefits
Estimated Base Pay Range: $162,000 - $203,000. The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
