Title: DiPSS MedSSI - Director of Logistics Property Book
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Logistics Property Book is responsible for warehouse layout planning, establishment of document files, preparation of required documents and reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives, checks in, and issues materials in support of construction and maintenance activities.
- Maintains inventories and completes records.
- Ensures proper planning, receipt, storage, and issue of all project material and the control of project furnished small tools and third-party rentals.
- Under general supervision, manages and is accountable for the overall function of the department.
- Analyzes and advises employees of operating policies and procedures.
- Accountable for budget and develops employees and their skills.
- Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business strategies.
- Job role has an impact on the business viability through personal contributions.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
- Use of Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, laptop, and other devices to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs, team lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending.
Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as hearing and eye protection.
Day-to-day physical requirements may involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs frequently, etc.
Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree with 10 years of experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Specific contract requirement will prevail.
- Must be medically fit and willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver's License.
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 13 months of remaining validity AND 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Candidates must also meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.
