Job Summary
- Responsible for directing the strategy, development and implementation of the organization's data assets to enable business outcomes through analytics, data governance, and enterprise information policy.
- Manage all enterprise data to drive decision making affecting analytics, directing analytics processes, and utilization in driving innovation and enterprise objectives.
- Takes ownership for aligning data policy and administration with relevant regulatory, legal and ethical mandates.
What You'll Do
- Create, define and provide oversight of the organization's information strategy and ensure appropriate utilization of data to drive business outcomes.
- Drive the development and deployment of new and existing business intelligence data applications.
- Lead data-driven insights supporting the use of strategic and tactical business opportunities.
- Act as business champion for a data-driven, decision-making culture.
- Take innovative approaches to identify new data solutions and analytics offerings with emerging analytical solutions, skills and technologies to drive business innovation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in Finance, Distribution, Claims and/or Client Operations to understand and execute on functional data needs.
- Lead regulatory and compliance programs related to data and analytics assets.
- Ensure appropriate audit controls and validates financial reporting is reliable, secure and consistent.
- Create policies and controls for the appropriate protection of information assets through a defined life cycle.
- Lead efforts with data and analytics governance council to provide executive sponsorship and oversight for governance policy creation and compliance.
- Manage data analytics team and develop their capacity to create valued insights with advanced analytics.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the corporate information architecture, and assure the deployment and management of data quality monitoring practices.
- Partner with cross-functional IT teams and senior leadership to identify emerging management tools, skills, techniques and technologies, and ensure timely introduction for competitive advantage.
- Develop and manage the annual budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- 7-10 years business experience required preferably in business management, legal, financial or information or IT management.
- Broad business experience internally and within the vertical industry is desired.
- 5-7 years progressive leadership experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide data management programs; operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
- Demonstrated experience integrating complex processes and information strategies, and/or designing strategic metrics and scorecards.
- Strategy and management consulting experience desirable.
Education You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Certified Insurance Data Manager (CIDM) designation or other related designation preferred.

Physical Environment

Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.g. others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
