Hazelwood House is a 12-bedded low secure unit for adults with a primary diagnosis of learning disability and secondary mental health issues currently rated as Outstanding by the CQC. We have a strong focus on recovery and enabling patients to reintegrate back into the community.
We are part of the Priory group and you will work closely with other clinicians in the region based at Lincoln, Mansfield & Nottingham.
We have an amazing opportunity for a clinician to work part-time at our small friendly site. At Priory, we believe in investing in people so we are considering applications from Responsible Clinicians. Candidates must be section 12 approved.
As RC, you would lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals from nursing, clinical psychology, and occupational therapy who will form part of the MDT. You are expected to review treatment plans, coordinate discharge, and liaise with commissioners regarding admission, progress updates, and discharge planning.
You should be a good team player and be keen to participate in a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, formulation, and management plans. The consultant agrees to hold and continue registration with the GMC including the relevant Specialist Register. The consultant will be expected to provide evidence of their registration, if requested, by the Hospital Director or Chief Medical Officer.
You must possess highly sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills as these are critical to gain the trust and build the confidence of patients, in order for treatments and interventions to be effective and successful.
You must have the ability to work autonomously to agreed short and medium-term objectives and be able to understand the impact your actions will have on the care of the patient and the workings of the multi-disciplinary team.
You must be a good problem solver and be able to use your systemic knowledge, experience, and creative thinking to translate best practice and evidence-based research into practical operational solutions.
Priory operates a non-residential medical on-call rota and the post holder is expected to participate on the on-call rota which is on a second on-call basis.
