Head of Business Analytics and Data Visualization

As Exiger's Head of Business Analytics and Data Visualization, you will lead the design, buildout, and maintenance of customer-facing dashboards using Sisense, ensuring that they meet the organization's high standards for performance, usability, and insights. In this leadership-level role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, identify dashboard needs across the organization, and manage a small team of developers responsible for implementation. You will also lead efforts to standardize and scale the dashboarding process through reusable components and widgets.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Leadership: Steer the buildout and continuous improvement of dashboards to support internal stakeholders and external customers, ensuring that insights are easy to access and actionable.
- Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Canvas departments and teams to identify dashboarding needs and align them with business objectives. This role will work directly with and steer the strategy across BI-architecture, UX/UI design, customer success managers, and training and enablement specialists to provide and market next generation solutions.
- Team Management: Lead a team of 4-6 developers/coders with expertise in SQL and Python through Snowflake as well as JavaScript to support dashboard creation and maintenance. Additionally, the team will come to include automation engineers, as well as data governance experts and UX/UI designers in support of your efforts.
- Dashboard Development: Leverage your expert knowledge of Sisense to create, maintain, and optimize client-facing dashboards. Develop standardized widgets and other components for more efficient deployment. You will build out new capabilities using JavaScript, SQL, Python and d3.js-type design elements.
- Technical Expertise: Ensure dashboards are built using SQL and Python within Snowflake, JavaScript, and other tools to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, translating complex data requirements into user-friendly, insightful dashboards.
- Ongoing Innovation: Stay at the cutting edge of dashboarding and data visualization technologies, identifying opportunities to improve processes and solutions.
What You Need:
- 10+ years' experience in a Business Analytics role in a SaaS environment
- 4+ years' experience in a leadership role presiding over data visualization deliverables
- Technical Skills: Familiarity and/or understanding of cloud platforms, software and web programming languages, SQL, Python, JavaScript, cloud-computing elements (e.g. AWS S3) and Snowflake. Certifications are a plus
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills, ability to write and speak clearly to accurately brief analytical findings
- Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- A Bachelor's degree at minimum in Data Science, Mathematics, Business Statistics, Operational Research, Supply Chain, or related field
- Ability to develop an understanding of domains relevant to Exiger's capabilities
- Experience with one or many of these: supply chain solutions (hardware, software, supplier, entity, or corporate), SCRM or C-SCRM is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be a US citizen
