As a Principal Technology Specialist of Azure Infrastructure, you will be a key player in architecting secure, scalable environments for your customers while showcasing a host of Microsoft and Azure-specific services. You will work as a technical sales leader and trusted customer advisor, collaborating with internal teams, partners, and consultants to map Microsoft solutions to customer challenges and priorities. Your role involves demonstrating and proving the value of our solutions, ultimately contributing to the achievement and surpassing of quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Your workday and week will be dynamic, with approximately 80% focused on engaging with customers and selling teams - planning, preparation, and various meetings, including technical presentations, demos, and workshops. The remaining 20% will be dedicated to continuously enhancing your technical expertise, staying abreast of industry trends, understanding the competitive landscape, and sharing that insight with the broader community.
This role focuses on our manufacturing customers across the United States, focusing on our top tier of accounts. The position offers flexibility, allowing you to work up to 75% from home, with travel percentages varying based on the requirements of the role.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
- 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
- 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
- Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform technologies, Office 365, Power BI, Information Security, Architecture).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services.
- Experience or knowledge of Azure VMware Services.
Technology Specialists IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
