Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Group Vice President of Kidney Care Operations will be responsible for general management and leadership of operations within a 3-state operating group known as Endeavor.
As the Group Vice President, you will have full budget and P&L accountability for a $1B+ business. This portfolio includes responsibility of ~400 outpatient dialysis clinics, ~200 home dialysis programs, ~100 acute care programs, 7,000 teammates, and the care of 25,000 patients across Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
As a Group Vice President you are a key member of DaVita’s field leadership team. This position provides strategic and tactical leadership, counsel and direction to the field management to ensure safe, efficient, therapeutic and ethical patient care. Additionally, this position identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities, monitors group performance, and works closely with the senior leadership team to develop competitive strategies in alignment with DaVita’s mission and values.
The GVP has full leadership responsibility for recruitment, hiring, retention, performance development, performance management, salary adjustments, and termination of your direct reports who are Division Vice Presidents. Position has general, overall responsibility for teammate decisions within operating group.
Location: Florida, Georgia or South Carolina (open to considering out of state candidate who are relocatable to the market)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic operating plans and goals for assigned group
- Analyze current center trends impacting patient service delivery, track metrics and success criteria including ROI for all activities
- Review, analyze, and address gaps in service excellence, policies, and/or procedures proactively; identify issues and implement solutions
- Lead the creation and implementation of teammate development processes and succession planning including mentoring, coaching, and modeling appropriate leadership behaviors
- Manage financial and revenue growth, operations and labor management, contract management, and clinical outcomes within the group
- Fulfill broad-reaching, strategic responsibility for the development and implementation of proactive programs, operational improvements, communications, and other general management responsibilities related to all modalities (chronic, acute, PD, home) within the assigned group
- Participate actively in joint venture business meetings as applicable
- Lead the business development process for complex partner negotiations, inclusive of joint venture partnerships and acquisitions
- Maintain a liaison relationship between the corporate office and field operations
- Develop positive work relationships with all levels of management and other departments in the Village; work collaboratively with field management, legal, finance
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with physicians consistent with DaVita code of conduct and Compliance Commandments
- Build and maintain a team of knowledgeable, skilled teammates (including management) who function in compliance with all regulatory requirements and the DaVita mission and values
- Travel required: up to 50%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred; MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive management experience required
- Healthcare provider operating experience strongly preferred; dialysis or similar provider services experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of successful fiscal and operating management; demonstrated financial expertise

Salary/ Wage Range: $259,700.00 - $433,700.00 / year
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
