What You’ll Do:
As the CIO at BrownWinick, you’ll provide leadership and direction in implementing, advancing, and protecting all the firm’s information systems and services. This includes overseeing all technology operations, practices, support, and security. You’ll be a key driver of our technological strategy and innovation, ensuring the seamless integration of technology solutions to support our attorneys and staff as they manage complex legal matters. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in optimizing IT infrastructure, safeguarding data, and enhancing workflows, all while contributing to the Firm’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the Firm’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the Firm’s technological development.
- Work with other leaders of the firm to develop and implement organizational initiatives.
- Develop IT business plans that support both the long-term and short-term objectives of the Firm.
- Quality improvement responsibilities through the development and reporting of performance metrics.
- Influence the design, development and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet the needs of the Firm.
- Evaluation of emerging technologies to improve department performance, increase Firm efficiencies and revenue, and reduce operating expenses.
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Assist with IT development, organization, hardware procurement and facilities management for the information technology department to assure consistency and alignment with business plans of the Firm.
- Management of IT personnel.
- Vendor management along with contract negotiation and point of contact duties.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous review of IT and cybersecurity policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and best practices. Ensure policies are regularly updated to adapt to emerging technologies and regulatory changes.
- Oversee change management initiatives related to technology upgrades, new system integrations, and process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions, minimize disruptions, and drive user adoption through clear communication, training, and support.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in multiple phases of technology, personnel management, and information services operations.
- Experienced in strategic planning, goal setting, and IT department road-mapping.
- Ability to provide high level expertise across a broad range of business and IT-related subject-matter areas with sensitivity to impact.
- Demonstrated ability to work with business and IT partners of all levels; sensitivity and understanding required for successful culture relations.
- Understanding of team structuring and approach, emphasizing collaboration with other team members and department resources.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based, and occasionally stressful environment.
- Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.
- Computer expertise including an understanding of the impact of technology.
- Team oriented with a pro-active problem-solving approach
