Seraph Defense is seeking a Contract Administrator/Principal Contract Administrator based out of our Annapolis, MD office to join our Special Defense Operating team.
What You'll Get to Do as a Principal Contract Administrator:
- Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
- Apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation, and customer relationships.
- Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions.
- Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval.
- Manage fact-finding, evaluation notices, and negotiations between customer and program team.
- Build knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
- Manage and administer Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and other reports.
- Advise management of contractual rights and obligations.
- Compile and analyze data.
- Maintain historical information through the closeout process.
Basic Qualifications as a Principal Contract Administrator:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing. or Contracts adjacencies (Criminal Justice, English, International Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management) from an accredited institution with 5 years of relevant experience in contracts, subcontracts, business management, finance or accounting OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing. or Contracts adjacencies (Criminal Justice, English, International Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management) from an accredited institution with 4 years of relevant experience in contracts, subcontracts, business management or finance with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Willing to consider 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS
- US citizenship is required.
- A current active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications as a Principal Contract Administrator:
- Experience in contacts administration within the defense industry
- Experience reading and interpreting legal and contractual requirements.
- Professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecommunications.
