Position Overview:
The Performing Arts Installations Lead provides supervision, coordination, and support for the installation teams to ensure efficient resource use in meeting customer requirements for the delivery and installation of Wenger Corporation products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years of experience.
- Strong mechanical and carpentry skills.
- Organizational and strong supervisory skills.
- ETCP rigging certification preferred.
- OSHA30 certification preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience safely installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all aspects of rigging.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience reviewing drawings and estimating.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving ability.
- Computer skills and aptitude, especially in Word, Bluebeam, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with general contractors on construction sites.
- Knowledge of the performing arts industry.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate and cost-effective price quotations for installation services.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contracts for installation and providing feedback to stakeholders.
- Developing and managing third-party relationships for installation.
- Representing the installation function with customers to ensure satisfaction while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Assisting project managers in developing installation project schedules and coordinating with general contractors and other trades.
- Supervising, assessing, and developing installation personnel.
- Performing administrative duties such as accident reports, employee requisition and hiring, and training.
- Coordinating and scheduling appropriate labor for installations.
- Developing installation methods and site-specific programs in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintaining department records to promote efficiency and recommending improvements.
- Assisting in the resolution of construction problems as required.
- Providing direct supervision and work guidance to personnel on the job site.
- Providing clear and concise reports on all site visits with recommendations for resolving customer problems.
Travel: Potential travel nationally and internationally.
