In this role, you will be pivotal in diagnosing and managing a range of rheumatic conditions, delivering top-tier care to our diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with a variety of rheumatic diseases, including but not limited to arthritis, lupus, and vasculitis.
- Collaboration: Partner with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including rheumatologists, physical therapists, and primary care providers, to deliver integrated patient care.
- Education: Provide education to patients and their families about rheumatic conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance their quality of life.
- Innovation: Engage in clinical research and contribute to the development and implementation of new treatment protocols and best practices in rheumatology.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes and outcomes within the rheumatology department.
Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced practice degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on rheumatology or related fields.
- Certification: Board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Certification or experience in rheumatology is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in rheumatology or related specialty preferred.
- Skills: Exceptional clinical skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
