Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
The work model for the role is remote preferred within Los Angeles, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle or Salt Lake City. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division out of Bartlesville, OK.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
- Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers.
- Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
- Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
- Leverage any existing relationships in the industry to bring new selling opportunities to ABB.
Qualifications for the role
- Associate’s Degree in technology with combined 5 years’ experience in instrumentation as either a customer, selling, technician or project manager.
- Solid understanding of Analytics including but not limited to GC’s, FTIR, Tuneable Diode Lasers, CGA and CWA. Working knowledge of instrumentation is also an asset.
- Ability to develop relationships at all levels in ABB, our channel partners and our end users (from field personnel to corner office).
- Up to 50% domestic travel, international may be rare.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $92,500 and $171,500 annually and is eligible for a sales incentive plan.
