DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall administration of the clinical outreach program operation related to budget, program design, service delivery, staffing, and scheduling in accordance with Department of Homeless Services (DHS) and BRC protocol and procedure. Act as liaison with the Department of Homeless Services, subcontractors, and referral sources. Act as primary liaison with the DHS on all matters of accountability including reporting, quality assurance and the development of clinical outreach strategies (including the development of individualized clinical plans and crisis intervention strategies as needed). Develop partnerships and collaborate with hospitals, treatment, shelter, transitional housing and housing providers on servicing homeless individuals to end their homelessness. Work in conjunction with Assistant Director to identify and develop in-service workshops on related topics to staff, such as conflict resolution, assessments and engaging with service resistant clients, safety and other topics. Ensure the periodic review of client charts in preparation for audits, prepare statistical reports and responsible for overall quality assurance of clinical services delivered to clients. Share weekend on-call duties with the Assistant Program Director and supervisors, as needed. Directly supervise the Assistant Director, as well as monitor the performance of all staff. Collaborate with other directors within Outreach cluster, as well as other program directors and members of BRC senior management. Related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (some weekend, evening, and overnight hours required.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
LMSW required and ability to pass test to acquire 9.58 certification from DOHMH. A minimum of three years of experience in direct services to the homeless, mentally ill and/or substance abusing populations. Supervisory experience required. Must understand issues related to homelessness, have strong leadership skills and clinical skills, and have the ability to address multiple issues and challenges concurrently. Must have a valid driver’s license. Computer proficiency required. First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to pass test to acquire these credentials required.
