Role Description
- Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer or Chief Data Officer, establish 1910’s standard IT best practices.
- Be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of IT projects to support 1910 goals.
- Oversee IT onboarding and offboarding tasks, along with being tasked with hardware management.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and manage the internal tooling they provide.
- Lead and optimize IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems.
- Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Identify and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support innovation.
- Plan and manage the installation of new organization-wide systems and applications for more specialized functions, assist departments in planning and executing the installation of new systems.
- Provides Tier I to III/other support per request from various constituencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a strategic IT leader, with at least 3 years in a VC backed tech or techbio AI native startup.
- 10 years of expertise in networking, systems administration, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- 10 years experience with implementing and managing IT support tools and ticketing systems.
- 10 years of extensive technical knowledge of Windows network/server architectures, Active Directory, M365, G-Suite, and Teams/SharePoint; knowledge of Linux a plus.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Cloud/Server technologies, M365, internal and voice networks.
- Experience with workforce management systems, ideally Rippling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple projects at once and maintain documentation and reporting.
