About the role
Production Planners plan, forecast, and organize activities in the Computacenter United States Inc.’s Integration Center (IC). These activities include master scheduling of production, material fulfilment, appropriate project close-out activities, and support the functions of the Production Supervisors and Operations Managers. Production Planners provide a critical link to the Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Purchasing and Manufacturing teams to adequately support all project planning activities.
What you’ll be doing
- Perform planning and scheduling functions involved with creating/managing work orders, coordinating products and materials movement through the manufacturing processes to completion and on-time shipment.
- Providing oversight while maintaining adequate inventories to support operations while minimizing inventory investments.
- Coordinate the efficient expediting of materials and work in process with purchasing, production and engineering.
- Proactively identify areas of potential supply concerns and communicates analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted.
- Process and track team timecards, expense reports, purchase orders, issue documentation, project plan updates, and project documentation.
- Support invoicing and project closure functions.
What you have
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in sales or services administration.
- Experience in inventory management.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- IT and/or manufacturing industry experience.
- Salesforce and/or SAP experience.
