As a Lead Site Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting brand new scientific research and operations within Unity Lab Services. Located in Boston, MA, you will be part of an ambitious team dedicated to delivering world-class service and support to our customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Use Thermo Fisher Scientific's or customer's inventory/order management systems to perform activities such as on-site program replenishments, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing.
- Communicate and collaborate closely with the onsite team to prioritize and resolve open corrective actions and support inventory management operations.
- Understand customer requirements and coordinate with other teams to successfully implement various support needs.
- At the direction of the Supervisor, gather data to support the maintenance of records, including training and data collection.
Support report generation and site metric development to fulfill contractual obligations using standard methodologies.
Engage in process improvement activities to improve service delivery.
Job Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma with relevant experience in chemical management or an Associate degree in a scientific field (chemistry or biology preferred).
Experience
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.
- Demonstrated customer service, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and perform data entry.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates.
- Capability to work primarily at customer sites, independently if needed.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally, using pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required.
