We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead through this exciting time of growth for the Customer Unit (CU) T-Mobile.
As the CTO of Customer Unit T-Mobile, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the long-term Network Vision and drive Market Area North America's (MANA) CU T-Mobile technology position. You will also lead a team of technical professionals to provide depth to strategic priorities and advising on network and Cloud Software and Services (CSS) evolution.
This position will report to the Head of CU T-Mobile and be located in Bellevue, Washington.
You will:
- Be responsible for defining MANA CU T-Mobile’s long-term network strategy (including RAN and Cloud and SW Services) and lead Strategic Focus Area engagements on network performance, transformation and monetization towards T-Mobile.
- Lead end-to-end network transformation programs in collaboration with T-Mobile with an emphasis on proactive, predictive technology roadmap planning.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Plan and Sales Strategy aligned with the CU’s sales goals and objectives.
- Be responsible for all technology-related engagements across Ericsson Business Areas and oversee the deployment and life-cycle management of those deployments.
- Build, grow, and develop talent who are experts in their field.
- Collaborate closely with T-Mobile and our Business Areas to drive innovation, transformation, automation, and the realization of 5G's full potential.
- Lead by example in embedding Ericsson on the Move’s focus areas (culture) within your organization.
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Proven experience in leading large-scale network transformation projects.
- Proven disruptor with track record of challenging the status quo.
- Strong background in Cloud RAN, O-RAN, 5G SA core, cloud-native technologies in general and related open interfaces.
- In-depth knowledge of 4G and 5G networks and related technologies.
- Experience in collaborating with external partners and vendors.
- Excellent leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Understanding of sustainability-centered technology offerings.
- Excellent ability in presenting relevant business and industry insights to drive the business forward.
- Good listener with very high interest and curiosity to understand our customers specific challenges and needs.
- Demonstrated collaboration, working closely with the MANA Domains, MANA Customer Units, and the Business Areas (BAs).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing high performing teams including virtual and remote teams.
- The ability to enable teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent presentation, public speaking and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Preferred) in relevant science or engineering with minimum of 10 years in the technology industry.
- Minimum of 5 years leading in a matrix environment.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Range for Bellevue, Washington location: $238,000 - $291,000
SIP: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 3 medical plan options, 2 of which are PPO plans requiring employee contributions to the cost of premiums, and a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with no premiums for employees. In addition, Ericsson offers dental coverage, employee paid vision coverage, and other company paid physical wellness programs.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1 volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
