Job Summary
Develops and executes API's brand and creative services among key audiences and ensures brand integrity by guiding strategy and implementation across multiple platforms, functions, and departments.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate the creative vision for campaigns, projects, and branding initiatives.
- Create and direct the execution for API's brand and corresponding assets, including the enforcement of style guide(s), institutionalization of brand assets, and ensures proper/correct usage of API logo.
- Work in concert with all API departments to develop a cohesive brand identity for all materials.
- Manage brand compliance in concert with all API departments, to guarantee API's brand image and voice is always consistent in every messaging output.
- Responsible for the organization of and access to all API visual and digital assets for API staff.
- Provide art direction for video, web, and photography projects.
- Work closely with members of the Executive Office to produce high-quality API-branded events including Board Meetings and other member events.
- Communicate API's value proposition throughout the brand architecture to support marketing strategies of internal clients.
- Plan, develop, and direct API marketing efforts to increase the brand identity of the association and liaise with API's Global Industry Services (GIS) leadership, communications, and marketing function.
- Assure alignment and integration between API brand and the marketing/communications of GIS products and programs to key client segments.
- Manage and develop creative group (web and graphic design) and ensure integrated design, look, and feel across all API collaterals and digital assets.
- Ensure quality of content and product including the design and delivery of collateral for GIS programs to meet business needs.
- Manage and direct website redesign process and implementation of audit recommendations.
- Oversee creative vendors and consultants as needed to ensure brand identity and quality of product.
- Plan and direct all creative work award submissions.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage internal and external implementation of new API visual identity/logo, working with Operations, GIS, Policy Departments, and state and global offices.
- Manage a team of three, including graphic and web designers.
- Manage designated creative contractors and consultants.

Qualifications
- Requires 10+ years of experience in a similar role and subject matter expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, or other related field equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10+ years of management experience and relevant subject matter expertise.
- Degree in communications or marketing preferred.
- Expert in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Expert in Adobe CC Suite, highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong experience in campaign strategy, graphic design, web building, CRM implementation, email marketing, and social media.
- Ability to use illustration, photo, motion graphics, and video to execute project tactics.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively to execute a project strategy in a timely, effective, and budget-conscious manner.
- Budget management proficiency.
- Proven experience with project management and leading teams.
Physical Requirements
- Able to remain in a stationary position working on a computer.
- Move about the office to access office machinery, meeting rooms, etc. on occasion.
- Operate a computer and other office machinery such as printers and copy machines.
- Transport items and equipment up to 10 lbs. on occasion.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 25%
