Position Summary:
Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin (Versiti WI) invites applications for a full-time Associate Medical Director/Medical Director position. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of physicians & scientists who oversee the Versiti Diagnostic Hematology laboratories including hemostasis, platelet and neutrophil immunology, and hematology genetics.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this position include clinical and scientific direction, case review, clinical consultation, and associated assay development. The candidate will be responsible for delegated regulatory duties under CLIA and will participate in educational initiatives and clinical/applied research within both Versiti and its affiliated health systems.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- M.D. or D.O. Degree, Board certified in Clinical Pathology or combined Clinical and Anatomic Pathology.
- M.D. or D.O. or M.D./Ph.D. with clinical training and board certification in adult or pediatric hematology will also be considered.
- Laboratory hematology experience required.
- Current or eligible for a medical license in Wisconsin.
