Job Title: Clinical Director of Adult Medicine

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Director of Adult Medicine to lead our Adult Medicine Department. The successful candidate will oversee clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to underserved populations with complex medical needs. This role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership, making it ideal for a dynamic, patient-centered professional passionate about both direct patient care and organizational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the Adult Medicine Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Develop and implement department-wide strategic goals in alignment with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical and legal regulations, including medical licensing, board certification requirements, and organizational policies.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, retention, and discipline of clinical providers and staff, ensuring a cohesive and well-functioning team.
- Supervise advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs), ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Collect, analyze, and present clinical data to inform evidence-based decision-making and contribute to enterprise-level projects.
- Foster positive relationships with clinical and administrative staff, patients, and external stakeholders through superior communication and leadership skills.
- Support a quality-focused approach, including understanding and contributing to ongoing professional practice evaluations.
- Contribute to the organizational mission by actively demonstrating the organization’s core values and promoting a positive work culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with a Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine .
- Active Physician License in the state of CT (Preferred or the ability to obtain).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care efficiently, with a particular focus on underserved populations with complex medical needs.
- Proven leadership experience in a large health center setting or private practice, with a track record of serving as a Director or Associate Director .
- Experience with the recruitment, training, and management of clinical staff, including advanced practitioners.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems.
- Strong understanding of compliance issues within clinical practice.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and continuous quality improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of developing and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills with a comfort level making evidence-based decisions.
- Superior communication skills and the ability to maintain productive relationships with staff, patients, and external partners.
- Experience in leading or participating in enterprise-level initiatives.
