Northern Nevada Medical Group, part of Northern Nevada Health System, offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services for the entire family. Our providers offer wellness services, family, geriatric and internal medicine, along with specialty care including cardiology, general surgery, podiatry and sleep medicine. Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Our leadership team, practitioners, and teams of healthcare professionals are collectively dedicated to improving the health and wellness of people in the communities we serve.
This Hospitalist position is a per diem position. All medical staff will be privileged and credentialed according to the rules and regulations of that specific healthcare organization. The medical staff of each department or service is responsible for peer review activities to promote continuous improvement of the quality of patient care provided by the medical staff in all departments of the healthcare organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Treats a variety of disease processes and injuries; acute and chronic.
- Provides and manages direct patient care Clinic.
- Orders appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments.
- Analyzes patient data and formulates diagnoses.
- Develops and implements patient treatment plans; evaluates these treatments plans and revises as necessary.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of Nevada.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration Registration.
- Presentation of Certificate of Insurance.
- Current ACLS certification.
