About This Role
We are actively seeking a passionate and strategic professional to join our team as the Senior Director, Internal Communications. This role will be a part of Slalom’s Global People team and report directly into the Executive Chief of Staff for our Chief People Officer. This role is responsible for leading and executing employee communications and celebrating Slalom’s amazing culture and people – 12,000+ team members Globally. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our internal communications strategy and execution while also fostering employee engagement and connection. As with every role at Slalom, this role is both strategic and executional, and we expect this person to be a roll-up-your-sleeves, hands-on partner who will strategize, design, write, execute, track, and analyze how we communicate with our team members.
What You’ll Do
Internal Communications Leadership
- Serve as the lead writer and communications expert for internal employee communications. Bring top-notch writing and creative communication skills to each project.
- Develop and execute communication strategies across multiple channels, including but not limited to email, intranet, videos, office displays, and more. Identify new channels and tactics to engage employees across all levels, geographies, and teams.
- Serve as the central point of contact for all global communications at Slalom, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with Slalom’s organizational goals.
- Be the point person for multiple executives across Global Services functions, including, but not limited to: Data, Finance, Immigration & Mobility, Information Security, Information Technology, Legal, and Procurement. Partner with global services functions to identify and communicate key messages that impact employee experience and/or needed behavior.
- Develop an internal communications rhythm and calendar to drive appropriate communications at the right time and interval.
- Track and analyze the performance of communications; keep a pulse on employee sentiment through quantitative and qualitative analytics.
- Coordinate with regional communication leads to streamline messaging and share best practices.
Brand and Work Excitement
- Devise and implement programs to generate excitement and engagement among Slalom employees around what it means to work here.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the Slalom employee SharePoint site, ensuring it serves as a centralized hub for information, resources, and engagement initiatives. Implement user-friendly interfaces and functionalities to enhance the Slalom employee experience on the platform.

- Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with experience across multiple communications channels.
- A coach who will guide stakeholders, so they make the best communications decisions.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience (7-10 years) in internal communications, preferably in a global B2B environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Journalistic experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of shared services functions.
- Experience with SharePoint site management and content development.
- Experience using Microsoft Viva.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align communications with Slalom’s overall business objectives.
- Previous experience in employee engagement initiatives and program management.

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $200,000 to $230,000. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
