The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Vice President of Health Services and is responsible for coordinating nursing services within our organization.

Responsibilities
- Triage
- Facilitating new admission assessments, i.e., history, review of systems, screening, etc.
- Monitoring all monthly medication orders, interim orders, Medication Administration Records (MAR), and documentation and dispensing.
- Monitoring medication supplies, both stock and prescription items.
- Monitoring and tracking compliance for all persons served on psychotropic medications and tracking side effects.
- Phlebotomy and collection of all laboratory samples, if certified, within the Residential Program.
- Organization of medical carts and collection of unused items for return to the pharmacy for destruction.
- Conducting trainings as needed regarding health and medication information and issues.
- Administration of medications during nursing shifts at supervisor’s discretion.
- Act as a liaison between programs to address issues of transition and preparing medication documentation and supplies necessary to facilitate transfer.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Maintains continuity among nursing team by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Registered Nurse with NYS Nursing license, required
- Expert knowledge of nursing practice within residential services
- Excellent communication skills, required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), required

Salary Range: $80,000 - $88,000 per year
