Solution Architect
Locations: Bellevue, WA or Atlanta, GA or Dallas, Texas.
Role Overview
Leads end-to-end solution design and technical strategy for implementation of prioritized product capabilities or features. As a fully engaged technical execution lead, the Solution Architect plans the architectural runway for a full solution. They define, communicate, and support a continuous delivery pipeline and foster a built-in-quality mindset for the entire solution.
Responsibilities
- Creates a shared and aligned architectural vision and end-to-end design to meet the objectives.
- Collaborates with impacted platforms to ensure an aligned solution approach.
- Provides options to achieve iterative delivery across a reusable architectural framework.
- Oversees the outcomes of architectural delivery and contributes to acceptance.
- Aligns solutions to enterprise architecture strategies and objectives.
- Participates in all planning and progress-related ceremonies for the solutions.
- Develops a high-level architecture (HLA) and technical specifications.
- Ensures scalability, reliability, and performance of the overall solution.
- Addresses data protection, authentication, authorization, and compliance requirements.
Collaboration
This role works closely with:
- Product Business Owner for feasibility of requested initiatives and capabilities.
- Product Tech Driver and impacted technology teams to share HLA and technical specifications.
- Tech product owners to develop technical enablers and supporting artifacts.
- Architects from other portfolios/products or platforms to align on design for dependencies.
- Developers to provide technical and solution guidance, and to verify features are implemented as designed.
- Architecture Review Board to ensure adherence to organizational technical strategy.
Systems & Tools
- Visio or BizzDesign for creation of design artifacts (HLA, HLSD).
- JIRA for adding NFRs, feature refinement, and High-Level Designs.
- Additional tools as needed.
