About Daybreak
Daybreak Health (www.daybreakhealth.com) is building the leading digital mental health system for youth. Our mission is to create a world where every young person benefits from mental health support.
Our mental health system removes all barriers to effective care for young people: we create easy access through our school and pediatrician partners, deliver effective care through evidence-based online therapy that is integrated with technology, and bring consumer cost to zero through our funding partnerships with government agencies and health insurance. Over the next 5 years we plan to serve more than 25 million youth who need mental health support.
We’re a YC-backed company that raised its Seed from Maven Ventures and raised our Series A from Lightspeed Ventures (a Top 10 VC) in early 2022. We’re a rocketship, with our revenue more than tripling between July and November of 2021 in California, and more acceleration in sight. We’re hiring for critical roles now to have an even bigger 2022 and expand nationally.
As a team, we are all aligned with our North Star mission. We collaborate and execute incredibly well by doing more with less (we value efficiency and output over hours worked!) and we communicate clearly using writing (vs. unnecessary meetings). We are fully remote with team members across the country, and will stay that way. We value mental health: the willingness to be vulnerable is a requirement to join Daybreak. We have regular mental health days (at least once per quarter!). Last but not least, we value fun and hold regular virtual and in-person activities.
The Role
We are seeking a program manager to lead an exciting new business line for Daybreak Health: our insurance-based revenue program. This role will report into our Senior Director of Core Revenue, who will be a close collaborator. This person would be responsible for advancing our mission of bringing consumer costs to zero through partnerships with health plans and K-12 school districts across the country. Our ideal candidate has expertise establishing, monitoring, and achieving revenue-based quarterly and annual targets, and is passionate about iterating on business processes through feedback from internal and external stakeholders. You don’t need to be an expert in insurance billing or health plans. This role will be highly cross-functional, working closely with account management, sales, clinical and health plan operations, client success, marketing, analytics, and product. As a program manager, this person will also be responsible for supporting each team with projects that advance and align to the insurance revenue program as a whole. Our ideal candidate is motivated by creating new solutions to complex problems, and is able to break big problems into manageable parts. You love cross-functional leadership and are inspired by the mission to bring affordable and accessible mental health to youth across the nation.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing insurance-billed revenue, with quarterly and annual growth targets
- Developing reporting infrastructure that enables Daybreak to monitor insurance-based revenue at all stages of the K-12 partnership lifecycle
- Leading cross functional program meetings
- Unblocking team efforts to advance insurance-based projects
- Develop a growth strategy in partnership with sales and account management that accounts for health plan coverage in key markets across the country
- Designing new sales and renewal processes for supporting school district partners with a transition to insurance-based funding models
- Assisting account management to drive referrals and school district utilization of Daybreak services
- Partnering with marketing to increase awareness around Daybreak’s cost-sharing treatment options for K-12 districts and individual consumers.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree
- 3+ years of experience in a revenue-related or business role, such as management consulting, finance, account management or revenue operations
- Passion for data-driven decision making and program management
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (including district partners)
- Unshakeable resilience, positivity and passion for improving mental health outcomes for youth
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight or changing deadlines
Nice-to-have but not required:
- Knowledge of the education industry and/or health care industry
- Experience with Salesforce or comparable revenue and customer management software
- Knowledge about insurance or payors
Compensation
Daybreak’s compensation is a mix of cash and equity. As a high-growth company on a mission, we value employees who are fully bought in and want to be owners in the company. As such our cash compensation is average market, and our equity compensation is above market.
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000
Equity: ~20,000 shares
We also have a strong benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, a flexible remote-first working environment and parental leave. Unlimited PTO with an enforced minimum of 3+ weeks off per year, and regular company mental health days.
