The Senior MES Technical Manager will play a lead role in solution design and implementing MES systems (Camstar/Siemens Opcenter). This role will involve working on client projects to optimize manufacturing processes and systems to drive business process improvements, system automation, continuous improvement, and other duties associated with production support. He/She will be reporting to the Delivery Head of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage implementation of Siemens Opcenter for clients in North America region.
- Responsible for requirement analysis, solution design implementation, validation, and delivery management for Siemens Opcenter MES solution.
- Provide functional and technical solution design based on understanding of manufacturing business processes.
- Client interaction and engagement for new changes and open issues.
- Solution consultant for implementing and aligning new business processes to Semiconductor and Electronics manufacturing clients.
- User training and configuration management.
- Assist client IT team to deliver timely quality solutions as per change requests.
- Provide technical oversight to the team and project management.
- Direct and support on designing and developing the factory model using Opcenter Designer tool.
- Oversee the portal development and modeling configuration necessary to implement the solution at client side.
- Coordinate with different site IT teams in different geographies.
- Lead and manage the technical teams and act as a liaison to the offshore team to complete the implementation activities.
- Responsible for the overall site as well as global implementation of MES at various customer locations.
- Expand the skill base and develop further competencies in the company.
- Manage various stakeholders.
- Help build solutions and accelerators in the MES space.
- Participate in go-to-market activities – attend conferences, create market collaterals, participate in pre-sales activities.
Technical and Functional Experience
- Must have 10+ years in MES Camstar / Siemens Opcenter experience in providing solutions for implementation of Camstar. Preferred experience working in Medical Device or Semiconductor or Electronics industry.
- Experienced with large, multi-plant, global programs and responsible for the overall quality of delivery on the assigned project.
- Complete life cycle implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) product (e.g., Siemens Opcenter or similar platforms).
- Strong exposure to MES product administration and configuration.
- Experience in leading the requirements definition and MES implementation of the factory model.
- Extensive domain experience in Medical Devices or semiconductor industry with the ability to map business requirements with manufacturing IT applications.
- Hands-on expertise with the 3rd party interfaces with the MES application like ERP, LIMS, Equipment, HMI, etc.
Qualifications
- Education: At a minimum BS degree in computer science or electrical or manufacturing or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of work experience. If Associate’s degree, then candidate must have minimum 6 years of work experience.
- Must be well versed in manufacturing operation management systems, automation, and enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of business processes in manufacturing using industry standards.
