About the role:

Our Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) team’s mission is to improve seller productivity through process design, territory planning, technology, learning and enablement, analytics and more. The team strives to simplify and improve the seller experience, remove obstacles, and provide data to make the right decisions.
We are seeking an exceptional leader to continue evolving our sales data, analytics, and reporting capabilities. This role will own the data, reporting and analytics strategy and roadmap that integrates our current and future technology solutions with the aim to deliver high-value insights to our Sales teams. You will also manage a global operations team that oversees not only the maintenance/enhancements of our PTG dashboards but also partners with other teams on projects aimed at improving the availability, accuracy, and completeness of Sales data across our origination systems, CRM, BI tools and warehouses. This role will require experience in analytics, strong technical acumen in BI tools, familiarity with data engineering and modeling, and leadership and influencing skills across business units and functional partners across Gartner globally.
What you will lead:
- Responsible for defining the overall vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for the Sales data, reporting, analytics and related tools at Gartner
- Create visually compelling dashboards and other analytical insights in CRM to improve end-user experience and maximize ROI from our technology investments
- Monitor and analyze sales data, define KPIs and OKRs to identify areas for improvement to optimize the sales processes
- Partner with senior leaders in the business and GSSO to understand and prioritize their needs, collaborate on analytical solutions, and drive adoption of consistent reporting practices, visualizations and tools
- Develop and lead a sales data governance program in partnership with DS&E and CDO teams to ensure the availability and sustainability of high-quality sales data
- Partner with the CDO team to develop and implement strategies to optimize data flows across our digital ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration and efficient collection and utilization of MDM data, first-party data, third-party data etc.
- Synthesize findings into actionable insights that inform business decisions and provide recommendations that shape go-forward strategies for our global business
- Support leaders across Sales Operations and Team NCVI partners to organize and execute programs that help improve sales productivity or seller experience
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management, predictive analytics, Gen/AI etc. to drive continuous improvements, innovation in sales intelligence
- Lead and mentor team members in data and analytics topics along with creating custom growth plans for the team members including creating training paths leading to certifications that will result in a high-performing, resilient team
- Partner with IT teams on our agile framework to prioritize, plan and oversee the delivery of planned initiatives within the program’s overall risk tolerance
- Partner with change management team to ensure that new features are planned, deployed with appropriate training and communication strategies to maximize effectiveness and minimize business interruption
What you will need:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in sales reporting, advanced analytics, data science or related roles with a minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in coaching product managers and business analysts in delivering BI solutions
- Must have prior experience in developing dashboards, automating processes, data quality management and building scalable analytical solutions to transform CRM and/or other data into valuable business insights
- Fluent in data technologies such as data governance tooling, data platform technologies, and enterprise architecture principles
- Prior BI development experience in PowerBI, Tableau, CRM Analytics, Qlik etc.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, is a plus
- Strong understanding of customer retention lifecycle, sales processes, quote to order financial processes and the associated technologies in a B2B sales model
- Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment across businesses, technology teams and management levels
- Building strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional problem solving skills with an innate curiosity and desire to question the status quo
- Skilled communicator adept at organizational design, hiring and retaining talent, and stakeholder management
- Solid verbal, written, presentation and communication skills

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 220,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
