Clinical Director: Epworth Children’s Home
JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight of clinical services for programs across South Carolina. Facilitates the provision of safe, secure and nurturing living experiences and therapeutic services in accordance with Epworth Children’s Homes mission and values. Responsible for assessing the well-being of clients and mitigating any identified risk with direct supervisor and team. Ensures all critical incidents are resolved in a manner that mitigates risk to clients served. Ensures clinical documentation is done in accordance with state regulations, contract requirements, COA requirements, as well as ECH policies and procedures. Identifies trends and patterns within the program, participates in plan development, and reports all outcomes to the Senior Director. Oversees any investigations and ensures that resolutions are properly documented. Maintains contact with directors of programs regarding the progress/concerns in service plans submitted. Ensures that the ECH model of care is implemented and documented, provides back up “on call”, provides clinical assessments when necessary, ensures that clients have proper authorization, and provides supervision to clinical staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Master’s degree in social work or other license-eligible field. Independently licensed and at least two years’ experience working with children who have therapeutic needs. LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LMFT required. Must have an understanding of children, adolescent and family treatment as well as the ability to deliver evidence based practice with fidelity. Preferred: experience in a supervision role and experience with Medicaid and Medicare policy and procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Good written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, FBI Check, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry. Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
