As a Senior Software Engineer on Sam's Computer Vision team, you will play a pivotal role in developing an advanced, highly scalable, and resilient computer vision platform designed to provide a frictionless shopping experience for our valued members. Working closely with cross-functional teams of software engineers and data scientists, you will be instrumental in creating cutting-edge automation solutions to address intricate challenges in the realm of computer vision. Your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing our platform's observability and overall performance, solidifying our standing as a team continuously pushing the industry’s edge.
What you'll do:
- Develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions related to Computer Vision and inventory robots using Python, Java, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, NoSQL, messaging, and numerous additional cloud services.
- Work with Azure and GCP cloud platforms as well as edge computing to implement real-time software solutions.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Product, and UX to help define business requirements and plan out deliverables.
- Use CI/CD tools and pipelines to automate all test and deployment processes.
- Perform code reviews for other engineers.
- Mentor and develop other engineers.
What you'll bring:
- Proficiency with cloud computing resources, Azure, GCP.
- Proficiency with container solution tools Docker, Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Python or JAVA.
- Proficiency with microservice monitoring and observability tools.
- Master's degree with 2+ years of industrial experience in software development.
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of industrial experience in software development.
- Experience applying machine learning and computer vision algorithms on different applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting and deploying test automation solutions at scale.
- Experience integrating E2E automated test cases in CI/CD pipeline.
