ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – FEED FUEL SWITCHING

Due to the ongoing success of this initiative, we are currently looking for highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineers to join our dedicated team in undertaking the Front-End Engineering Design of cutting-edge industrial fuel switching projects.
Position Overview
As an Electrical Engineer within our FEED Fuel Switching team, you will play a leading role in designing, planning and developing the electrical systems that underpin our industrial solutions projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers and project managers to deliver engineering solutions contributing to a low-carbon and energy resilient future.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute FEED studies for various future energy projects.
- Conduct thorough feasibility assessments, identifying potential challenges, risks, and opportunities.
- Produce comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates to guide project stakeholders.
- Utilise your expertise in industrial fuel switching to drive the transition from conventional to alternative and renewable energy sources.
- Design and implement strategies for optimising energy consumption, reducing emissions, and enhancing energy efficiency across industrial sectors.
- Collaborate closely with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with evolving energy regulations and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding them through project lifecycle phases and fostering professional growth.
- Stay at the forefront of industry advancements and emerging technologies, applying innovative solutions to address complex energy challenges.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Engage with clients to understand their unique energy goals and translate them into actionable engineering strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory authorities, facilitating effective communication and project alignment.
- Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to share insights and promote GHD's thought leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Industrial Fuel Switching within the energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of UK energy regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in energy modelling, simulation tools, and data analysis.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of UK energy regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
