The Role
The Director Business Development is a seasoned sales professional who has experience as a senior sales leader in a professional services firm. They will own the revenue target for the overall organization while maintaining a small book of business themselves as well.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a matrixed management structure and will help shape our overall growth strategy working with other senior leaders. As we grow, they will be responsible for sales people, both local and remote. The position reports directly to the Managing Director and is a member of the senior leadership team at 1904labs.
Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team, help shape the overall growth strategy of 1904labs.
Responsible for hiring, creating sales KPIs, managing and mentoring our business development team members.
Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of management experience.
8+ years of outside sales experience.
Experience in software or solutions sales, ideally managed services, or technology-related services.
Experience working within and contributing to a multi-disciplinary leadership team.
Experience with multi-branch operations.
Expertise meeting with C-suite of enterprise-level organizations.
Formal sales management and leadership training.
Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Strong computer skills, including Google Suite for Business experience, preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to position yourself as a trusted advisor to clients and provide a solution.
