The Role You’ll Play
Veriforce is seeking a Director of Software Development with cross functional management experience to build out an organization including new and existing teams that will deliver Worker and Worksite solutions in a fast-paced agile environment. This person will be responsible for the management of global teams with members in Louisiana USA, London England, Calgary Canada and fully remote staff.
You will collaborate closely with Product and Architecture to own the delivery of roadmap priorities across several products. You will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across the business to ensure the success of your products and your teams. You will provide management and technical guidance and will be responsible for the professional growth and development of leaders and engineers. Managers are servant/leaders who should enjoy helping groups succeed.

Your Core Responsibilities:
- Building a highly functional engineering organization consisting of new and existing full time and contract teams.
- Driving the successful delivery and launch of the Worker and Worksite Strategy across multiple product teams through close collaboration with product and development leaders and business stakeholders.
- Collaborating across the engineering organization, aligning the goals of the business with the needs of the platform to ensure secure, robust, scalable and performant solutions across all products.
- Managing and mentoring Engineering Managers and technical leaders within your org.
You’ll Bring These Attributes to the Table:
- Natural leader with 2+ years of experience managing software managers, and 4+ years in a software management role.
- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering products from inception to production in a fast paced agile SaaS environment, ideally utilizing containerization technologies on the AWS platform.
- Demonstrated experience leading software development teams in a distributed, global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to staff and scale teams to deliver on time and in budget.
- Collaborative solution partner with excellent communications skills.
- Technical and operational understanding of distributed systems at scale (monitoring, deployment, alerting, etc).
