What We Are Looking For & Ideal Candidate
Convera is seeking a global Director of Product & Industry Marketing with a proven ability to bring new offerings to market and drive adoption across our portfolio of payment products and industry solutions. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and a key member of the Marketing Leadership team, the Director of Product & Industry Marketing works cross-functionally to develop and drive programs that demonstrate the value of our solutions to prospects and customers. This requires a data-driven strategic thinker with top-notch storytelling skills who can create and influence cross-functional go-to-market and commercialization strategies. The Director of Product & Industry Marketing will define the personas that influence our prospect journey, create the messaging that resonates with our target customers, lead impactful product launches, and enable our sales organization with stories that accelerate pipeline. This role requires an experienced leader of leaders who can develop and build a best-in-class Product & Industry Marketing organization to synthesize customer and market insights, help shape product roadmaps, and collaborate across the company to set priorities for growth. As the global Product & Industry Marketing leader, you are a customer champion with in-depth knowledge of our industry, target customers, and segments and enable our global organization with compelling positioning and messaging that resonate with our top personas.
Responsibilities
- Hire and lead a team of Product & Industry marketers, overseeing their development and growth in B2B Fintech while prioritizing their efforts to deliver impactful results.
- Develop, own, and articulate differentiated value propositions, compelling benefits, customer outcomes, and the positioning of Convera products and services in the marketplace.
- Serve as the expert on our market and customers, including our prospect personas, market trends, opportunities and challenges.
- Understand our competition at a granular level and how to position our solutions based on our differentiators. Conduct competitive and market research, develop ideal customer profiles, and conduct win/loss analysis.
- Lead go-to-market efforts for new product launches and marketing programs; including developing positioning, messaging, value propositions, and integrated marketing plans.
- Build our customer marketing expertise by turning customers into advocates -- generating case studies, testimonials, customer videos, and other customer-driven marketing and sales assets.
- Collaborate with product management to understand the roadmap, new feature/offer plans, and proactively plan for new releases.
- Build sales enablement tools such as battlecards, pitch decks, one-pagers, etc. and support sales training efforts to educate them on the Convera story and our go-to-market strategy.
Basic Qualifications
- 15+ years of B2B product marketing experience with direct responsibility for positioning, messaging, solution packaging, and customer journey definition.
- 10+ years managing an integrated, cross-functional go-to-market and/or commercialization process for B2B technology use cases; Fintech experience is a plus.
- 10+ years of people management experience, ideally as a leader of leaders.
- Mastery of B2B product marketing techniques and best practices.

- Demonstrated sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically about a quickly growing business alongside the interest and ability to dive into tactical details.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use research, hard data and metrics to challenge assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and solve problems.
- Comfortable with ambiguity - able to set strategic direction and execute effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of owning and writing complex documents and presenting/influencing VP+ stakeholders.
