Hope Valley, RI: We seek an experienced Board Certified Primary Care Physician for the role of CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER with a respected FQHC/community health center in southern New England - just 30 minutes from Rhode Island’s best beaches and the capital of Providence.
This two-site nonprofit provides a broad range of services to thousands of patients including primary care for all ages, full-service dentistry, mental health/social services, women’s health, rehab services, and more – supported by on-site lab and new pharmacy. Telemedicine was in use pre-pandemic, and digital services have expanded since.
This executive level position is both demanding and rewarding. You will report directly to the CEO, and you will interact regularly with members of the Board. As CMO, you will partner with organization leaders to improve quality and streamline processes. You will develop strategies, policies and services to integrate and expand access and patient care with the goal of increasing volume and revenue. You will lead focused healthcare efforts such as a recently launched substance use / medical treatment program. Community needs require the expansion of the second practice facility, and you will participate in setting up the new, larger replacement.
Join this Patient Centered Medical Home providing team-based healthcare consistent with the principles and standards of a PCMH. Support the mission of providing quality, affordable care and health education to the community. You will provide clinical oversight, expertise and leadership for several Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. Ideally, you will see your own patients one day/week. Your active practice, use of the EMR system and involvement with patient education will improve your credibility as you model best practices for the medical staff. This health center also welcomes clinical students – so teaching/mentoring opportunities are available.
This Equal Opportunity Employer welcomes a wide variety of candidates, MDs or DOs. Excellent communication skills are a must.
You will earn a very competitive salary with an incentive program and benefits including paid relocation assistance, federal liability insurance, health insurance, dental coverage, life and disability insurance, 5 weeks of paid time off plus paid holidays, another week of paid leave plus a budget for your CME, participation in a retirement plan with employer matching, and more.
