Agile Delivery Lead
Overview
Veson Nautical is looking for an Agile Delivery Lead to serve as a servant leader and subject matter expert of Agile methodologies and Program Management. The Agile Delivery Lead will facilitate the optimization of the team’s productivity by creating a culture of continuous improvement and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and facilitates scrum team meetings (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review/Demo, Sprint Retro) and reinforces best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Holds the team to the defined standards for story definition.
- Servant Leader to Team.
- Provides scrum team with execution data and metrics to foster better planning.
- Monitors current sprint to assess delivery and raises awareness to stakeholders if commitments will slip.
- Provides key Milestones on Client Driven Development to internal teams.
- Works alongside internal teams to plan Client Driven Development Work.
- Ensures that teams work is associated to appropriate epics and initiatives to enable proper reporting of progress and spend (Jira).
- Ensures sprint cadence is running as expected and that sprints start on time.
- Provides coaching / training to Scrum Best practices (i.e. Capacity planning, estimation, etc.).
- Optimizes scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
- Tracks impediments, holds impediment owners accountable, and ensures a speedy resolution to maximize team agility and accelerate delivery.
- Collaborates and consults with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Integrates Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work products.
- Coaches Product Manager and team on backlog refinement and prioritization.
- Utilizes team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve.
- Innovates with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery.
- Coaches the team to improve collaboration and self-organization.
- Developing ability to act as an Agile mentor and coach to other Scrum Masters or any Agile role.
- Communicates with leaders across the organization on a regular basis to ensure transparency into delivery, risks, issues, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP) certification.
- 2+ years of agile delivery experience utilizing Scrum, Kanban or SAFe frameworks.
- Highly versed in Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
- Hands-on experience in Agile project management software/tools (e.g., JIRA & Confluence).
- 2+ years of Technology Project Delivery experience.
- Ability to develop project status documents and associated communication documents, including identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
