We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Director of Sales Planning & Operations with an emphasis on Planning. This position is an integral part of the Synopsys Go-To-Market Team, contributing directly to the success of a global sales organization driving more than $6.0 billion in annual revenue. Responsibilities Include
- Own the mid- and long-term bookings and revenue planning model. Manage quarterly and annual updates. Track actual performance to ensure convergence to plan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, business units, and GTM Management to align sales targets and overall business objectives.
- Oversee run rate metrics and related reporting.
- Oversee annual topline quota setting process.
- Lead and manage a team of sales operations professionals providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Drive continuous improvement of sales planning processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Manage ad hoc projects as needed.
Who are we looking for?
An eagerness to make a positive impact on a dynamic and growing global technology company. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Business (Finance, Economics, Accounting) or a related field and at least 15+ years of relevant experience. MBA or other advanced degree a plus. Prior work in technology related field with focus on planning, forecasting, financial analysis and/or reporting required.

Required Experience And Skills
- Prior planning experience working in a global Sales organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to effectively manage large amounts of data is critical.
- Self-starter with the capacity to work independently in fast-paced environment and drive multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on 100% accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Salesforce.com, Anaplan, and/or Clari a plus.
- Knowledge of software related revenue recognitions rules a plus.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work well in groups and across departments, geographies, and levels.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism working with sensitive and confidential data.
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $239,000 - $359,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
