Serve as a mentor to staff and provide stability and leadership within a thriving veterinarian hospital in Staten Island, New York as a Medical Director.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate, success-minded, client-focused leader with five years or more experience in veterinary medicine to fulfill this exciting role and take the practice to a greater level of success!
The Role Essential Responsibilities
- Supporting DVMs to develop an understanding and best practices of how behaviors impact revenue.
- Provide DVM’s one-on-one development supporting quarterly production, reviewing production performance, and coaching for improvement.
- Work with the Hospital manager on weekly priorities and expectations.
- Meet regularly with the hospital manager to review controllable costs: DVM and Support Payroll Inventory.
- Work in collaboration with the hospital manager to maintain and build our relationships with the referring community.
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily running/flow of the hospital from intake to discharge.
- Play a significant part in the decision-making process and implementation of any new initiatives within their hospital.

- Medical Director providing clinical, surgical, and specialty responsibilities (60-80% of the time).
- Examine, diagnose, and treat animals surgically or medically.
- Operate medical equipment.
- Client communication about care, medical conditions, and treatments.
