About the role
We are looking for our first human resources leader to help establish this function internally and build our team. You'll join an operations team that will include our Recruiter, Junior Recruiter, and our Happiness Lead.

Build our HR Function: Establish our HR department from the ground up, developing and implementing HR policies, processes, people programs, and initiatives that align with our company's goals and values.
Be Our Culture and Experience Steward: Act as the visionary of Community Phone’s culture and employee experience, executing on a robust company culture for our global remote team.
Handle Team Operations Oversight: Oversee various HR functions and lead strategic initiatives, including payroll and compensation design, compliance, benefits administration, employee engagement initiatives, and onboarding and offboarding.
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with third-party council and company leadership to ensure HR initiatives complement business strategies and foster a cohesive remote work environment.
Manage Team Growth: Grow and manage teams, demonstrating the ability to develop, lead, and mentor a growing HR department.
Financial Acumen: Manage budgetary responsibilities, optimizing HR-related spending.
Relationship Builder: Cultivate strong internal relationships, gaining buy-in for HR initiatives and promoting a collaborative remote-first work environment.
