St. Joseph Medical Center - Inpatient Psychiatrist
Job Summary:
The St. Joseph Medical Center - Inpatient Psychiatrist will work under CED, PA, a group behavioral health practice serving as an inpatient psychiatrist at the University of Maryland, St. Joseph Medical Center. They will be responsible for diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatments, and administering care to adult patients aged 18 and above. Additionally, they will work collaboratively with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providers and a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering evidence-based, high-quality, state-of-the-science psychiatric medicine. This is a full-time position in general psychiatry.

Responsibilities:
- Provide superior patient care by practicing evidence-based, high-quality, state-of-the-science psychiatric medicine
- Prescribe, diagnose illnesses and administer treatment to adult patients aged 18 and above
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Obtain medical histories and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Achieve quality metrics by focusing on clinically relevant outcome measures
- Advocate for patients by providing consistent and timely documentation regarding their level of care
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program
- Board eligible in the appropriate specialty (board certified preferred)
