(Physician/MD qualifications required) Medical Director - A multi-site, mission-driven, non-profit organization whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to a culturally diverse population throughout the Merrimack Valley is seeking an experienced family practice physician for a Site Medical Director.
The medical director will have specific interest and skill in the care of patients with substance abuse disorders and provide on-site medical and clinical leadership for the clinic. The medical director coordinates with the Site Operations Manager to facilitate effective inter-departmental and intra-departmental business. Provides administrative and organizational support to ensure optimal communication. Mentors clinicians and recommends clinical and operational improvement opportunities for the facility.
The medical director ensures that all patients presenting for care are seen in a timely manner. Provides leadership to site clinicians ensuring site targets and quality outcomes are achieved consistently and patient care is a top priority. Analyzes productivity and allocation of staff time and recommends changes in systems to increase efficiency and productivity. Participates in the development and oversight of program budgets. Responsible for site clinical administrative requirements providing support to clinicians as needed. Completes annual performance reviews of all clinicians assigned to the site. Serves as a member of the PCMH Multi-site Integration Team to promote collaboration among medical, nursing, and operations leaders at all sites.
Candidates must be an experienced, MA licensed Family physician with substance abuse experience and certification to prescribe Suboxone.
