The RoleAs Senior Product Manager on our Discovery team, you will be responsible for improving the Content Discovery experience on Newsela to help teachers and students find great content for their classrooms. You will leverage your strong analytical skills to dig into data and identify the opportunities that drive the largest impact. You will own and manage core functions of the discovery experience and drive impact through iteration in partnership with Content, Engineering, Design, and Data Science. We are looking to bring on talented Product Managers passionate about optimizing content discovery experiences through enhancements to search relevance, recommendations, and personalization. Why You’re a Great Fit- You have 4+ years of experience in a Product Management function scaling new or existing products, especially products with search capabilities (where users are searching for some type of content).
- You have 2+ years of experience working within K-12 educational institutions.
- You have experience in product strategy, roadmap planning, and execution.
- You are a clear communicator who has experience breaking down complex topics into understandable chunks to get collaborators onto the same page.
- You love data, creating metrics, establishing goals with a Data team, and prioritizing your roadmap accordingly.
- You can leverage your strong analytical skills to dig into data and identify the opportunities that drive the largest impact.
- You know how to collaborate cross-functionally and take ownership of decision-making for your product.
- You understand customer needs and how to partner with data, research, and design to quantify and qualify your ideas.
Base Compensation: $125,000 - $140,000. Total compensation for this role also includes incentive stock options and benefits. This compensation range may be adjusted based on actual experience.
